While running around at work today I came across the weirdest and cooling cop car I've ever seen.
It was a brand new Ford F-250 with a camper shell on the back.
He had someone pulled over on the side of the highway. First thought through my mind was police impersonator because he only had a couple of reds and blues in the grille and a couple of low profile LEDs on the back. A few miles down the road he caught up to me and we both pulled up to the stop light. Sure enough there was a fully uniformed officer inside with all the usual police gear peaking out over the dash. I gave him a thumbs up and was on my way.
Seems like cops are getting sneakier every day which got me thinking...what's the most inconspicuous cop car that you have ever come across?

I was driving on the highway once, going too fast, when I saw a Charger, which you'd think was recognizable as a cop car, but it was painted metallic red and had flat black Charger decals on the rear fenders. So more like something a civilian would buy. Then I noticed the laptop mounted to the dash and slowed the hell down.

I've heard of someone getting pulled over by a Toyota Corolla in VA. Also, there's this.

That's not really inconspicuous though. It has marking on the sides. If it was unmarked that would be different.

My local PD has a silver unmarked G6.
Also, the '96 T-Bird I used to have was previously an unmarked police car.

The Indianapolis North-east side has a few unmarked Mustangs that patrol the 70 mph sections of US31 and 69. IMPD also uses DoT marked pickup trucks.
Where have all the lightweights gone?

I'm not sure whose it was, but my freshman year at college, some police force used a plain Jane silver Ford Windstar minivan as a patrol vehicle.

Saw a dead stock 2013 Camry pull over a speeding CLS here in Brooklyn. Needless to say I have PTSD and am now paranoid

There is occasionally a black, unmarked 7th generation Malibu ('08-'12) patrolling the interstate I take to work. My mind was blown the first time I saw it!

Cops here have a Chevy duelly, Sentra, and two motor bikes. All of them have pretty minimal livery.

Unmarked Ford Explorers.
Especially in the early 2000s. They were so common and virtually indistinguishable from regular explorers except for the hubcap locks and window tint, and not all of them had those.

No way in hell am I pulling over for that thing. There'd be someone impersonating a police officer getting called in if I saw it.

when I was stationed in Germany, they used campers to catch truckers using cell phones. A guy would crawl up in the bed above the cab and record them, then pull them over.

Maine has these on highway duty.
I also saw an early 2000's escape with no outward markings with someone pulled over.

NYC has some taxi cabs that are actually police. Because most of the crown vic taxis are ex-police interceptors, they're completely indistinguishable. LED red and blues are hidden, and the typical equipment is out of sight. I've also seen undercover white panel vans, a blue Nissan Altima, and a couple other nondescript cars.

Here in the Austin area (maybe the rest of Texas too, I don't know, it's a big state), the sheriffs have been fielding black Chargers with no externally visible lights or antenna that the stock Chargers don't have, and the only indicator is are these black, reflective vinyl decals that are only visible when you see them at a right angle, meaning you could pass one on the freeway and not even know it, but if one were to drive across your path, you'd see the "SHERIFF" lettering clear as day. I've also seen the same scheme done in white.
Sneaky.

My dad had an ice blue Dodge Shadow 3-door hatchback at one point. Nobody expected a flashing light from that.
